🧬 Hepatitis is one of the leading causes of chronic liver inflammation and damage worldwide. Among its various types, Hepatitis C plays a significant role in the development of liver cirrhosis and cancer due to its silent and often asymptomatic nature. Fortunately, with recent scientific advances, early diagnosis and complete treatment of Hepatitis C are now fully achievable through new and highly effective medications.
🌍 In line with the World Health Organization (WHO) goals and the policies of the Ministry of Health, Iran is committed to achieving the elimination of viral Hepatitis C by the year 2030 (1410 in the Iranian calendar). Attaining this goal requires increased public awareness, identification of infected individuals, and ensuring easy access to diagnostic and treatment services.
🏥 Accordingly, all services related to screening, counseling, diagnostic testing, and treatment of Hepatitis C patients are provided free of charge and with full confidentiality at Behavioral Diseases Counseling Centers No. 1 and No. 2 affiliated with Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences.
✅ We invite all health professionals to actively participate in this week’s educational and awareness programs, to undergo diagnostic testing if risk factors are present, and to refer patients to specialized centers — helping us move closer to the complete elimination of Hepatitis C.
